Here`s a happy, alert face for you!
We`ve called this chap RUPERT and he`s a 4yr-old Border Collie X Brittany Spaniel. |  |
|
 | Poor Rupert turned up lost at someone`s house and asked for shelter. Unfortunately the people he `adopted` weren`t in a position to keep him, and contacted us. |
|
He`s now chipped, vaccinated, castrated and in foster-care, where he`s proving to be affectionate and biddable.
He`s obviously been well-loved and well-trained as he`s clean in the house, travels well, is obedient and responds to basic commands (in French, of course!)
Rupert is gentle, seems rather nervous of cats and enjoys the company of other dogs, especially the girls!
He`s a stunning-looking dog and a bit of TLC and a good brushing will make all the difference! |  |

 | This is little PIPPA (you can see her below with her pups).
She`s a 2 yr-old Dachshund X miniature Pinscher, with possibly some Beagle thrown in for good measure! |

.....and she`s SO sweet!! - gentle, loving, and affectionate.
Pippa is busy at present being a really good Mum, but when she`s `off-duty` it`s cuddles, walks and moles that she likes best. She will make a really good `ratier`! |  |

 | "This is my aristocratic look", says Pippa.
She`s good with cats, fine with other dogs, just loves people and, as I said ....she`s just so sweet!
Chipped, fully vaccinated and will be sterilised as soon as her pups are old enough. |

All lovers of the rare breed Shar Pei will immediately recognise the particular look of our young pal BIFFO here!
Biffo has the typical large, chunky head and curly tail, but instead of folds of skin he sports a shiny black `rough` coat.....he looks like a Shar Pei cross Patterdale Terrier!! |  |

 | Although fairly small, he`s quite imposing. But despite appearances, he`s a gentle, affectionate and fun-loving fellow - even a bit shy.
Biffo is unaggressive and fine with other dogs - chases cats, I`m afraid! - happy to play, and will share his master`s attentions without jealousy. |
|
He`s brilliant with kids, would love a big garden to play with his toys and romp in, but isn`t all `speed` and has plenty of calm, relaxed time.
Biffo is about 2 yrs-old, is chipped, vaccinated and neutered and will make a great family dog. |  |

This pair here are from a litter of Pointer X Labrador pups. Boys and girls, they come in all shapes, sizes and colours - smooth-coated, fluffy ears or fluffy all over. |

They`ve been raised with dogs, cats, chickens, children and are very well-balanced puppies.

These three little lovelies are 2 month-old Spaniel X Border Collie (plus a missing ingredient, otherwise known as `Dad`!)

| All boys, they were raised by a canine foster-Mum after their own mother tragically died and they are used to a busy family life with dogs, cats, horses and children. |  |
|
 | Here are all three of them....one black and white and one tri-colour with curly-coats and one smooth-coated black and white.
Vaccinated, wormed and de-flead. |

You`ll not meet a nicer chap than HENRY here.
He`s a splendid 3 yr-old Pointer x Bleu de Gasgogne (one of the oldest and most revered of the French hunting breeds). |  |
|
 | Painfully thin and exhausted, he was found in the woods by a French couple who took him in and nursed him back to health. Unfortunately, they travel a lot, so they couldn`t keep him permanently.
|
|
Henry does NOT run off, and can be walked off the lead.
He`s calm, composed and affectionate, prefering to stay around hearth and home. He`s non-dominant and fine with cats and other dogs. He`s gentle and obedient, perfectly house-trained and travels well. |  |
|
 | Henry has an old fracture to his back left thigh-bone which is inoperable (we`ve checked with a specialist!). However, he isn`t in pain is and will use his leg when walking. He can run as fast as any dog....he can even climb stairs!! (naughty Henry! - who`s been sleeping at the foot of Mummy`s bed?)
Beautiful Henry is Mr. Perfect and deserves a loving, permanent home.

ADOPTION POLICY
We have no fixed tariff for adoption at present, but a contribution is appreciated. Where appropriate, the animal will be tattooed or microchipped, vaccinated and sterilized. Animals adopted from the SPA, with our help, are subject to the SPA's current tariffs. Dont hesitate to contact us if you are looking for something specific. We can nearly always get you what you want, given a little time!
