PUPPIES!!!!!!!!
All Phoenix puppies are genuine rescue cases. All are `accidents`. Many have been dumped or orphaned and some have had to be bottle-raised.
If the mother has reared the pups, we insist that she is sterilised shortly after.

We currently have litters of Belgian Shepherd X German Shepherd and Beauceron X pups available. Contact us for further details. |

| With MR CHIPS, what you see is what you get...a no nonsense, happy-go-lucky `doggy` dog! (Though here he`s giving you his soulful look!) |
He`s a 3yr-old mixed-breed, and your guess is as good as mine - probably Griffon Kortal or Rough-coated German Pointer....plus a bit of Lab perhaps?
| Not to worry. He`s a lovable `mutt`, who is playful and friendly with other dogs, (chases cats, but can probably be trained) and is brilliant with kids. He`s presumably had little education in his life, but is bright and willing and `learning the ropes` in his foster home. |
A big softie, we can somehow see him as the constant companion of some Huckleberry Finn-type lad (or lass).
Ahhhh....good old Mr Chips!!
Chipped, vaccinated and neutered.
| Beautiful BARLEY is one of thousands of hunting dogs which are dumped at the end of the hunting season.
She`s a 3yr-old Bleu de Gascogne, with the calm and gentle nature that`s typical of the breed. |
It`s always amazed us that these `chiens courants` - descended from the noble Bloodhound - are so kind, loving and laid-back. Look at those gorgeous soulful eyes!
| |
| Barley is a bit timid, but is currently enjoying TLC and home comforts such as she`s never known (ex-hunting dogs notoriously take like ducks to water to `the good life`!)
She`s fine in house and car, no problem with cats, dogs and other animals and would fit in beautifully to a calm, quiet household. Although she`s not a dog to run away - she makes no attempt to run off when the gate gets left open at her foster home - a fenced garden would be essential until she was settled and bonded.
Barley is chipped, neutered and vaccinated.

| It`s been difficult to get really good photos in the bright sun we`ve had recently, but here are some pics of GINO, a smallish (15kg), year-old Border Collie X that stole our hearts from behind the bars at the local pound! | |
| He`s a fabulous chap - sensitive, slightly nervous of new things, but soon takes them in his stride. |
His carer says he`s never had such a good and obedient dog at shared mealtimes! And his intelligence and eagerness to learn extend to everything else. He`s clean in the house, has brilliant recall off the lead, sits and will lie down, Collie-style, on command. He`s afraid of cats at close quarters and though he may well chase them if they run, he`s basically a very gentle and affectionate dog.
He adores playing with other dogs - that`s his big love....
| ....apart from the love for his owner, to whom he will be devoted! Still little more than a puppy, he`s going to be a really great and easily-trainable family friend.
Chipped, vaccinated and neutered...a first-class obedience and agility dog in the making. |
| BASIL was on death-row at the SPA due to overcrowding, but he`s such a sweet and affectionate chap, we couldn`t possibly leave him to his sad fate. | |
| He`s a 4yr-old Fox Terrier X, with a handsome tan and white, semi-rough coat. |
Ball-games are what Baz likes best, and he`s a typical terrier - game for anything! He`s fiesty, but has his soft side and is happy and sociable.
| Loyal, he`s very much a `people-dog` and would probably be happiest as the only companion animal in the family.
Fine in the house, fine in the car...what more can we say?....he`s a friendly, fun-loving Fox Terrier! Chipped, vaccinated and neutered. |
| DAKAR was found rail-thin and exhausted. He may well have been homeless for some time as he had been seen wandering up and down the same 10km stretch of road for several days. | |
| He`s slowly putting on weight, but it will take time and TLC for him look his best.
He`s a 1+yr Pointer X Great Dane, gentle, slightly timid and playful....just a baby, really, but a big baby! He loves all other dogs and is brilliant with children and people in general. |
He travels well, walks without pulling on the lead, is clean in the house and can be left alone without a problem, though it would be nice to think that he had the company of canine friends in his new home. He`s intrigued by cats, and although he`d probably give chase, he`s unlikely to harm them.
Dakar is chipped, vaccinated and neutered.

| This truly lovely and friendly cat we`ve christened PRINCESS. She was found with her babies, miaowing with hunger in an empty property. | |
| Mum and babies are now safely installed in foster-care, where PRINCESS is proving to be a real star! - affectionate and demonstrative...as well as a good mother. |
| And her babies?....ginger, of course!!!! | |
| The babies will be ready for adoption in a few weeks time, and Princess shortly afterwards, when she`s been sterilised. |
