This poor boy lived happily for 10 years with his lady owner who unexpectedly died. Sadly, the family “did not know what to do with him” so left him alone in the house from which he escaped a few times. (Probably he was hungry as he came to us severely underweight.) Then Pyram was chained so tightly without a collar that the chain cut deeply into his neck.
Neighbours reported this maltreatment and he was taken to the Le Buisson veterinarian who carried out a life saving operation to remove the embedded chain and repair the neck. The vet called Phoenix and as soon as Pyram was well enough, he came to Madeleine where he turned out to have the sweetest nature. He gets on well with other dogs, loves a car trip and cheerily welcomes all visitors. He is Border Collie intelligent and has had good training, quickly learning commands in English. Because he was left alone so long, Pyram needs reassurance by seeking attention. He really, really would make a marvellous companion who would be loyal and loving. Please come and meet him.
Pyram is a PPP dog and comes with up to 700 Euros for veterinary bills due to his age

Buddy is a nine month old male Golden Retriever/Collie Cross. He needs a very special home. He is super loving, playful and intelligent. He walks well on his lead and he loves other dogs and ideally will need a home with another dog. He does not like to be left on his own and has had a difficult start being chained up, so can be scared of strangers. Buddy still needs lots of reassurance in new situations and needs his confidence building up with kindness. Once he knows you he gives nothing but absolute love. He needs an experienced dog owner to continue his rehabilitation and introduce him to the wider world. Buddy has good recall and gets on with cats - although he likes to chase them a little if they run away. He needs lots of excercise and someone with lots of free time to spend with him. A home with a large fenced garden for him to play would be ideal.

Dony is energetic, eager to please, a happy boy he loves to play! He sits on command and we believe him to be a Romanian sheepdog mix, he was saved and rescued from a kill shelter.He also has high energy levels so we're looking for an owner with the same or has experience with similar breeds with high energy levels.
Dony could live with another dog providing they're female as he can be a bit bossy with other male dogs - he's good with cats and children.

Teddy Bear is a large enthusiatic and healthy 11 year old boy at the Perigueux SPA. He was a PPP until the SPA decided they no longer needed that support from us, but he comes with an 800 euro grant from 30 Million Amis. He would prefer to be an only dog and he is not good with cats. he has missed out on training and tends to pull on a lead. He is otherwise well-balanced and an adorable teddy Bear! His adoption fee would be a voluntary donation only

Marley and Beau are brothers, they come from Attis Association and were part of a mass rescue from a shut in situation with multiple dogs trapped in a house where the owner had died. They have been in kennels for three years and are learning the ropes at home.

Sambo is a 2 year old Border Collie from Romania who has made great progress here. I have cared for Border Collies for many years so I have been able to give Sambo the tools he has needed to enable him to make really good progress and he is now ready to find his new forever home.
Sambo is a very affectionate and social dog, who loves cuddles and lots of attention. Over the time he has been with me he has really enjoyed being out in the garden, going for walks in a safe space and life in general without too many distractions. He does need someone who is very present as he suffers from separation anxiety but this will calm down once he is confident in his surroundings. He needs someone who can show him boundaries as he does not always have self control. With other dogs he is fine, but often the other dogs do not understand his deficit in communication.
A bigger dog who is very social and calm would be ok for him, also he would be happy to be an only dog and a household without cats is a must.
