Beautiful Ella came to Phoenix after her owner died and she was left chained day and night at an empty property.
Ella is a gorgeous Labrador/Pointer cross aged 10 yrs. She is chipped, vaccinated and, we assume, sterilised although it's not been possible to confirm that yet.
Ella is a faultless dog. She is fit, active, calm, sociable, well mannered, clean in the house, good in the car, good with other dogs and hasn't looked at the cats. If you are looking for a problem free dog to adopt, she's your girl! Despite her age, she is agile and will jump a fence, but she is surrounded by other dogs here she hasn't so much as glanced over the fence. A home with other dogs would be preferred but she is also used to living alone. She has clearly been beautifully cared for and much loved. Please call 0602364266 if you can offer Ella a home.

Toby is a typical terrier with all the characteristics associated with this breed.
He won't be able to live with either cats or chickens.
He is a pocket rocket who adores his walks, the more he has the happier he is and would probably love doing agility.
It is essential that he has a totally secure garden or he will escape.
He is super affectionate, very loyal and always ready for a cuddle and he loves to go everywhere with you.
He travels well in the car and is totally clean in the house.

This handsome fella is small to medium sized and a ball of energy; he is relentlessly playful but keen to please. An intelligent pup, used to other dogs and cats, although still thinks chasing cats is fun so no homes with nervous cats please.
Timmy is learning to be clean in the house and needs experienced puppy owners who can maintain a level of good discipline, keep him engaged, occupied, and persist with training. He's a strong character and can be naughty but just needs keeping in hand. Definitely needs another dog in the home unless you are committed to keeping him occupied 24/7.
Can be destructive if permitted, goes on the lead, good in the car although still a bit icky on longer journeys. He's a very affectionate adorable little character who will bring energy and humour into every situation!

Dony is an adorable pup from Romania. Bouncy and cuddly, he's a clever boy that will keep you continually amused but does need stimulation.
He's independent but also fine with other dogs (although he can be defensive with other males who are aggressive with him and seldom loses a fight!)
An energetic youngster, Dony needs experienced owners who can continue his education.

Marley and Beau are brothers, they come from Attis Association and were part of a mass rescue from a shut in situation with multiple dogs trapped in a house where the owner had died. They have been in kennels for three years and are learning the ropes at home.

Colin is a bouncy, affectionate, energetic and sociable 28kg boy with a big heart.
He's good with cats and all other dogs and used to busy households with lots going on. Rescued from Romania, he's needed quite a bit of training but is gradually responding to commands but still needs continued home education with patient, active people (and preferably the company of another dog).

Lulu is another one of our Romanian rescues. She's a sweet, yet anxious girl who can be dominant but is never nasty. She's learning to behave in the house but again, probably needs another dog for company. Can be destructive left alone.

Sam was adopted from the SPA as a puppy and was returned to us after the death of his owner. He was adopted again in January 2021 but has been returned to us because of his independent character (this was explained at his adoption) he doesn’t like to be told what to do or what not to do!
He is otherwise a lovely dog who deserves some luck in his life. He needs to find an owner who will assume him for who he is, for his many qualities and his few faults.
Phoenix association are offering to reimburse up to 700€ towards any vet fees once he is adopted due to the fact that he is an older dog. Despite being 10 Sam adores going for walks & is an active healthy boy. He is castrated, vaccinated, chipped wormed etc.

Teddy Bear is a large enthusiastic healthy 10 year old boy in the Perigueux SPA. He has been in the refuge for 2 years now & as he is around 10 yrs old Phoenix have decided to offer him the Pensioner plan which means we will reimburse up to 700€ for any vet fees his adopters may have to pay out.
He would prefer to be an only dog and, unfortunately, he’s not good with cats. He has missed out on training and tends to pull on the lead. This having been said he is otherwise a well-balanced and adorable Teddy Bear! He is castrated, chipped, and vaccinated. The adoption fee would be a voluntary donation.

Sambo is a 2 year old Border Collie from Romania who has made great progress here. I have cared for Border Collies for many years so I have been able to give Sambo the tools he has needed to enable him to make really good progress and he is now ready to find his new forever home.
Sambo is a very affectionate and social dog, who loves cuddles and lots of attention. Over the time he has been with me he has really enjoyed being out in the garden, going for walks in a safe space and life in general without too many distractions. He does need someone who is very present as he suffers from separation anxiety but this will calm down once he is confident in his surroundings. He needs someone who can show him boundaries as he does not always have self control. With other dogs he is fine, but often the other dogs do not understand his deficit in communication.
A bigger dog who is very social and calm would be ok for him, also he would be happy to be an only dog.
